Construction of Drain Tile

Crew is uncovering a section of collapsed drain
tile.
Drain tile as illustrated is comprised of clay tile.
Clay tile drainage system estimated at 45 years old
and is in need of cleaning/repair due to sedimentation
and debris.

Pipe is cracked and is allowing debris to enter
drainage system, thereby clogging it. The paved
surface above this portion of clay tile was actually
eroding away identifying a potential problem below.

A softball-sized hole can be seen to the right of the
photo. This is due to the drain pipe collapsing, thereby
causing eroding of driveway base. The driveway was
caving at this point indicating an issue below.
